Public operating standard
These rules define how Alan Mall develops content, activates affiliate relationships, handles merchant data, and protects buyers. They apply even when a program is pending or has declined an application.
Alan Mall is an independent shopping and travel-planning guide. It does not represent itself as Amazon, Expedia, Viator, Target, The Home Depot, Walmart, or another merchant or booking provider.
A merchant link remains disabled until the applicable program approves Alan Mall and the tracking method is validated. A declined or pending application never activates links.
Product feeds, travel content, images, prices, availability, logos, and other partner materials are used only when the partner grants the required rights. Public webpages are not treated as permission to copy a catalog or travel inventory.
Alan Mall publishes original planning methods and explanations. Recommendations must help the buyer understand tradeoffs instead of repeating merchant copy.
Commission cannot be the primary ranking factor. Sponsored placements must be labeled, and insufficient or stale data must not be presented as a verified best choice.
Alan Mall does not use unsolicited messages, misleading redirects, forced clicks, cookie stuffing, trademark bidding without permission, fake scarcity, or claims of guaranteed savings.
Shopping briefs stay in the buyer's browser unless a future feature clearly requests consent. Affiliate analytics avoid collecting shopping queries, destination URLs, IP addresses, or full browser identifiers in application events.
A merchant, booking provider, feed, campaign, offer, or link can be paused immediately. Expired catalog or travel offers are excluded from visitor-facing results, and partner termination disables publication.
Report an incorrect claim, unauthorized brand use, broken affiliate destination, privacy concern, or inaccessible experience. Alan Mall will review the affected content and pause it when necessary.
